Why you should do it:
Self-portraits are the ultimate form of self-expression in photography, and to a degree, it is also a right of passage. A little research will reveal that almost every famous photographer has produced at least one self-portrait in their career. Apart from the artistic aspect of this exercise, it also teaches you firsthand how to recognize and fix bad and awkward poses. Due Dates:

ASSESSMENT:
The degree to which I can: • Express meaning, intent, and emotion through making decisions on self portrait photography . • Develop personal answers to aesthetic questions like how am I going to represent myself photographically to an audience of peers? like how am I going to use location, props and costume to enhance my self portrait to reveal something about me? • Create photographic works using sensory inspiration, imagination, and inquiry; how am I experimenting with my identity representation in this project? What do I want people to know and NOT KNOW about me? How do I make this clear and obvious in my work? |
Students will create a photographic artwork with the organized representation of objects. The theme will be developed and shared by the student.
You may work in partners for this assignment. Not sure what a flat lay is? Really simply, it’s a birds-eye-view or overhead photo. Usually of things like food, fashion, tech, or desktop accessories. OBJECTIVES:
